REGULATION 2008-54 under the Clean Environment Act identifies oil, oil filters, oil containers, glycol and glycol containers as designated materials in New Brunswick. The Regulation states that no brand owner shall sell, offer for sale or distribute oil, oil filters or glycol to a person in the province unless they hold a valid registration. Brand owners are therefore required to register with Recycle NB.
