Glass, polystyrene and flexible plastics

As part of the packaging and paper program, residents in Phase 1 communities can now return the following materials to a participating redemption centre:

• Glass packaging (jam and pickle jars, olive oil bottles)
• White polystyrene foam packaging (product packaging, food packaging, takeout containers)
• Flexible plastics (bread bags, stand-up and zipper lock food pouches, potato chip bags, candy wrappers)
• Ancillary beverage cardboard

**Collection sites for glass, polystyrene and flexible plastics will be available for residents in Phase 2 communities as of May 1, 2024.
